The manufacturers couldn't sell their products so they decided to start advertising in newspapers that anyone who isn't smelling of roses must be smelling bad; they ran an aggressive campaign to make not smelling like roses a very bad thing

It worked, people started buying their product so they can smell like Roses and not smell "bad" ("bad" being what they were comfortable with before seeing the adverts) a market was born, anyone who isn't smelling like roses suddenly became undesirable, unsophisticated, uncivilized and was forced to smell like roses by buying the perfume and sprinkling it on his/her body


This is akin to how religion operates, they make not thinking the way they want you to think (not smelling like roses) a problem that needs a solution, the solution which happens to be, well, thinking the way they want you to think (smelling like roses)

I'm being subjective though, I don't think the body can fight through that phase especially when one is already sexually active. Once it's that time, the body gets rid of the excess akamu one way or the other. Either in agreement with you or on its own.
