Hello, Please i bought a car from a person (Nigerian used) lagos registration number and I haven't done the change of ownership since then , now i have relocated to port Harcourt and I want to move the car, I did the vehicle renewal,please will I be disturbed on the road? Is it a crime to buy a car and not do change of ownership ? I have the complete car papers and custom duty paid to the bank but in the person's name. Please kindly enlighten me . Thanks all 1 Like |

you may not do the change of ownership now and you can drive it to any state in Nigeria however you should get a court affidavit and police report to Claim that the said car has been sold to you by the previous owner. All this we cost you less than 3000. I did that 2 years ago and I am still using the car till today. 2 Likes |
