MFM leader donates buildings to alma mater, advises students

Agency Reporter

The General Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, has advised students to take education seriously as it remains the only legacy for mankind.

Olukoya made the call while handing over the buildings he constructed for his former school, St. John's CAC Primary School, Oke-Igan, Akure, Ondo State, on Thursday.

The general overseer, who was represented by Pastor Jeff Akinsulire, said that if students wanted to contribute to their society in the future, they must be committed to education and have a good relationship with God.

Olukoya, who was a pupil of the school between 1964 and 1969, donated buildings that included the administrative block, library, vocational studies room, laboratories, school hall and 15 classrooms.

He said the gesture was borne out of his love and passion for education and the fact that he benefited from the opportunities provided by the school in the past.

He said, "I believe that excellence in education is important and should be encouraged; this is why we gave 19 cars as gifts to some first class graduates recently."

Thats what we expect pastors to be doing. Building schools and enhancing other civic duties as well as propagating the pathway for the populace to improve spiritually.

If he did call the media houses its likely to serve as an example for others to emulate or follow . . .

The chap wasnt even at the handling over occasion or present to gloat but was represented by a stand-in; a certain Pastor Jeff Akinsulire

From recent memory please name us an organised church that sponsored and handed over buildings to another organised church

other than the keep-it-within-family syndrome . . .

The school may be built by the CAC but it doesn't mean its their property. It's a government school presently.

Unfortunately people like your bishop are also building schools even though they just see it as an additional means of exploiting the gullible muguns that worship them.

@Poster
Is it a personal donation or a donation done on behalf of MFM?

He donated to his alma mater, the donation had nothing to do with denomination or even church, it's just like any old student contributing something back to the school that raised him.

Why not search records and see where Oyedepo donated money that affected the lives of many Nigerians. Do you know how many crusades he finances for some churches that couldn't afford them?. You just don't know anything about blessed papa.

Yes i am awarre that Oledepo donates a few peanuts from time to time as a P.R gimmcik to give people the impression that he is assisting others, a case in poit was on his birthday last year when he sent some pastors in his church to go and donate five bags of rice worth less than 50k to an old peoples home[which incidentally is owned and run by a catholic church] he also sent a press crew with them to ensure it got maximum publicity. For a man who is that wealthy especially someone that made his money form the gospel by diverting money for the poor to his personal pocket, that donation was miserable and conceited.

Aren't you in enough trouble already without disobeying Jesus
Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Mat 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

Stop reading the bible from your butt. So its sinful to call your biological father, papa?

Temper. What are you fuming about. Oyedepo is not your biological father. . .but you worship him, otherwise you wouldn't be angry over what is clear in the scriptures.
Go study the scriptures. They are quite clear. Jesus commands us not to call any one "Father" (Daddy, Papa or what have you) in a religious sense. Why: the answer is given to you in the quoted scripture. But you would rather disobey Jesus because:
Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

You are a blind religious bigot. Oyedepo is our spiritual daddy and he will continue to bless the world with the gift God gave him. Stop hating on him and listen to his preaching. Is it also a sin to call your step father, daddy since he is not your biological father?

that is commendable, but that is wat the body of christ is also for, selflessness, many men of God has also done , God bless you sir, Dr. D.K Olukoya

Quite sad. See who is calling someone else blind. You that is steeped in spiritual blindness to the point where you see nothing wrong with disobeying the direct command of Jesus Christ, even after your attention has been drawn to the scriptures.
Mat 23:8-11 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Any way, I am not surprised. If Jesus was your Master, you would obey him, but Oyedepo is your master & spiritual daddy, so carry on. Just know you do not belong to Jesus.
Joh 10:4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
If you were truly a sheep of Jesus, you would heed his voice.
