Truely. Its very reliable . the engine and the gear are awesome. I have used my 2001 Camry for 5 ,years and it has been faithful.
The only drawback is the shock absorber/suspension system. So if you want a car that will carry you from Lagos to sokoto everyday for a decade, tink Camry, just try and ignore the noise from the leg....

Between 1994-2000 heralded a Benz era that will live on. It would be a pride that 17 years later would still be treated with awe, dignity and due regard. Its the Mercedes C class W202, a gaint that would never die.

I drove this car about 2 years back and its memories would remain within my members. From its solid build, to its impeccable movement, to the respect it garners, this king left an impression in my mind, that despite using other cars, I still retain one in my collection till this day.

So what's your experience with the W202. Don't keep it to yourself.

It was the year 1998, and it was going to be the best year ever for the auto industry, as the year was going to herald about the most reliable vehicle crafted by man. This phenomenon was mean't to hold sway for only half a decade, but little was it known that it was the creation of the indestructible. Honda was going to produce their best car yet before the turn of the millennium, and decades later would struggle to relive the same feat.

I got my Honda Baby Boy 2001model in 2010, and almost 8 years later, she runs gallantly. Not a single Engine fix, transmission change or AC repair. Unlike the constant ugly remarks of the Honda foot, this has stayed unshaken for almost 2 decades. If theres any ride which passes the reliability test 100% this would be it. Today I use 2 vehicles each made 1998 and 2001 respectively. While my favourite of all time would be the Mercedes C class W202, the Honda Baby Boy without sentiments remains one of the most reliable car ever made.

1997-2002 were great years for car lovers, as it was going to open up the doors of car ownership to everyone. Prior to the advent of Japanese Engineering, using cars remained only in the purview of the affluent. However, this barrier wouldn't be for long, as vehicles would now be sold and resold to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th owners without a major decline in performance. This, was the very innovation of Japanese craftsmanship.

If there's any car that represents the indestructible, it would be the Camry 2.2, as it survived 2 decades unbattered, and has earned a place as arguably the most reliable car of the 21st century, defeating all the rivals of its age and even its elder brother the big daddy hands down. It was also going to be the end of Toyota being accessible to the common man, sadly, this fact remains not so obvious.

For car enthusiast who want an affordable, easy to maintain, yet high performance car, the Camry 2.2 provides these features but beyond expectation. This is the ultimate advice for low to middle income earners seeking to get behind the wheels without breaking pocket. New car owners should begin here as these set of cars can withstand the most abuses, without getting owners burnt.

You don't and will never know the Camry 2.2 if you don't own one.

You don't know one until u own one, that's the title. Corolla of those times would come 5th place among the most reliable cars of that century. Despite having cosmetic appeal, it comes nothing close to the Camry.
