Spurs after winning Manchester United, can
they be able to repeat same thing against
Liverpool at ANFIELD?
Both teams were brilliant in there last
Primer League matches. Spurs Winning
United 2.0 at Wembley Stadium and
Liverpool winning Huddersfield 3.0 away.
Liverpool is an interesting team. The knock
on them has always been that, although they
are an offensive juggernaut with Mohamed
Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino,
they are always trying to outscore whatever
their hilarious defense ships in any given
match.
Well, they’ve taken steps to address that,
purchasing Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton
to replace Dejan Lovren. And if you think
about it, a Liverpool team with a not-
hilarious defense is suddenly a lot more
scary. Still, it hasn’t always worked, as we
saw in their recent losses to Swansea in the
league and West Brom in the FA Cup.
Even so, it’s never good to underestimate
Liverpool, especially at Anfield, which has
been a fortress for them this season. The
Reds are undefeated at home this season,
and it’s been something of a house of
horrors for Tottenham; they haven’t beaten
Liverpool at Anfield since 2011.
Spurs enjoyed a fantastic 4-1 win against
the Reds when they met at Wembley back in
October, but Jurgen Klopp’s charges will
fancy their chances of avenging that defeat.
Liverpool saw a 19-match unbeaten run at
Anfield ended by West Bromwich Albion in
the FA Cup fourth round last weekend, but
the Reds will be determined to give the
home supporters something to cheer here.
Spurs have stuttered on their travels in
recent months, winning just two of their last
seven matches away from Wembley.
With 36 league goals between them this
season, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and
Mohamed Salah pose a significant threat to
Spurs.
Harry Kane will lead the visitors’ attack,
while Lucas Moura, signed from Paris Saint-
Germain, is in line for his debut.
Liverpool have lost one of their last 23 home
Premier League games against Spurs (W15
D7).
Spurs have only lost more Premier League
away matches at Old Trafford (21) than they
have at Anfield (16).
Spurs haven’t done the league double over
Liverpool since 2010-11, with
