Last night 4th Feb. There was a total unrest in MAUTECH. The main cause of the fight is unknown but so many casualties were recorded as so many lecture theatres and worship places were set ablaze. The Christ Embassy church was attacked, their music instruments were burnt and the worshippers scampered for safety except for the few who were cut unawares.Those Who reside in the off campus area, Sengere were seriously attacked by some hoodlums. After a brief and emergency meeting held by the Senate this morning, students were asked to vacate the school premises with immediate effect. The exams were to start today but nothing is actually functioning now. More details later.....

Here is a secular issued by the University in response to the incidence. Students are to vacate the institution lastest by 2pm today for indefinite closure.
