You can never know the actual minute you fall asleep.
Sleep is an unconscious exercise. You can only remember when you went to bed.

@OP, How can one use 'rest assured' in a sentence without the 'Be'?

Rest assured is like saying Stay assured...Relax or do not worry.
Saying "Be rest assured" would be like saying "Be stay assured".

I don't know if these words are corrected by our Lecturers in Nigeria or otherwise, ever since i heard '' I am hearing you'' is a wrong sentence, i still get to see top America and England movies that has been nominated and also winning big awards using '' I am hearing you''. This leave me to ask the questions, Na we know English pass the owners or what?

Re: English Grammar Lesson by Afolearning(m): 5:17pm On Feb 11, 2018
@ blunt, to respond to your statement on 'I am hearing you.' This is grammatically wrong. This is because words like 'hear, promise, concern, own, feel, among others are called STAIVE VERBS, and can't be used in the PROGRESSIVE and OR CONTINUOUS FORMS; THEY CAN ONLY BE USED IN SIMPLE PRESENT OR PAST TENSE FORMS.

ON THE ISSUE OF NATIVE SPEAKERS USING STATIVE VERBS IN THE CONTINUOUS FORMS,I WOULD AUTHORITATIVELY ASSERT THAT AS NATIVES SPEAKERS OF YORUBA, IGBO OR HAUSA, WE ALSO MAKE GRAMMATICAL BLUNDERS.

LANGUAGE IS NO RESPECTER OF THE NATIVE SPEAKERS OF THE LANGUAGE. YOU SIMPLY HAVE TO MASTER AND INTERNALISE THE WORINGS AND RULES OF THE LANGUAGE.

I CHALLENGE YOU TO TAKE A TRIP TO UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN, YOU WILL MANY AMERICANS WHO CAN SPEAK BETTER THAN MANY YORUBA NATIVE SPESKERS, WHO HAVE COME TO NIGERIA TO LEARN MORE ABOUT YORUBA AS PART OF THEIR ACCLAMATISATION PROGRAMME JUST LIKE NIGERIANS STUDYING FRENCH OR CHINESE.
