Beloved, You can't get ready or make excuses for what is already ready (given by Grace). You take it or receive it. It is the glory of God to conceal (hide) a thing: but the honour of kings and Queens (you and me) is to search out a matter (The truth). Prov.25:2. We have been taught that true Christianity, salvation is behavioural modification, but thank God for The Holy Spirit who through knowledge and revelation has made it known to us that true Christianity is not behavioural modification. Salvation is not the result of doing a good thing, if so, many good men and women would be saved by their religiosity. But thank God that salvation, righteousness, true Christianity is trusting in a saviour, the Man Christ Jesus who was/is perfect for us. That is, only by His Grace. How? Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. So, where is the boasting then? Preach Christ and Him crucified. Not you or your good deeds. May the Lord give you understanding in Jesus name. Happy New week. Remember, His name is Jesus/Yeshua.

So true...we oftentimes think it is by "our deeds" that we can gain God's favor or acceptance.
