Can someone please help me to shed some light on this matter? I have been told by my lettings agency that i need to pay tenement rates for the 3 bed flat that I rent in Lagos.
However several neighbours and other people have told me that Tenement Rates should only be paid by the landlord and not a tenant in a rented property, and that the agency is just trying to make some money off us.
Can anyone help? Perhaps if you are into property or property law?
