Growing up, we were made to believe by our pastors that Adam and Eve were deceived by the serpent, but, i think otherwise.

let's go into the scriptures

in Genesis 2:16, it says "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat"
2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

then in
Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

looking at those verses above, if we read further, we will see that after eating the fruit, they didn't die, their eyes were opened exactly how the serpent told them it will happen.

They even became like gods like how they were told because according to
Genesis 3:22 , it says "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever"

So personally, i think they were told the truth and nothing but the truth, nothing of what the serpent told them was a lie.

So in other words God is a lieing SOB
