HAS ABIA FARED WELL IN THE LAST 33 MONTHS?

One of the many qualities of a good leader is his ability to translate vision into reality...he knows the way, he goes the way and he shows the way!

Every single thing we have seen in Abia in the last 33months were penned down in Governor Okezie Ikpeazu's inaugural speech. That written vision has become reality and we can see them.

-In the last 33 months, we have seen a good number of Abians return home to invest in hospitality and the media industry. This is due to the efforts of the Ikpeazu led administration in providing a business-friendly environment. We can also boast of over 250,000 thriving SMEs courtesy of the massive campaign for Made in Aba products.

-In the last 33 months, 30 Shoemakers were sent to China while garment makers were sent to Turkey to improve their skills. The remaining 70 shoemakers is expected to go to china in the nearest future.

-In the last 33 months, based on the number of reported crimes, Abia was named the second safest sate in Nigeria by the National Bureau of Statistics.

-In the last 33 month, this Administration provided 28 operational vehicles to security agencies in the state and also procured sophisticated tracking devices to tackle kidnapping.
It also collaborated with Nigeria Communication Commission to launch a short digit line (112) for Emergency call center. A special number was also launched for whistle blowing against kidnappers with a N1m reward for every successful arrest of kidnappers.

-In the last 33 months, Governor Ikpeazu’s Admnistration renovated over 300 schools across the 3 geopolitical zones, Constructed 15 new water Boreholes for schools in Abia State, built 50 modern school toilets across the state, Donated cars to teachers and built staff quarters at Ibeku High School Umuahia.

In the last 33 months, Ikpeazu’s administration Launched education for employment (E4E) scheme. This scheme has produced over 500 graduates with relevant skills in ICT.
