According to Theophilus Utchaychukwu, the man was beaten by the security operatives attached to the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike while he (the governor) watched on.

The reason for the alleged brutalization was not revealed by the Facebook user as pictures shared online show the injured man and his damaged vehicle.
