In order to attract more outstanding students from renowned universities across the globe,
Wuhan University is inviting international students to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarships at their university. The scholarship is supported by the Chinese Government and approved by the Chinese Government Council to provide full scholarships to excellent students from all over the world for Master’s and Doctoral programmes.

Wuhan University (WHU), established in 1893 is
in Wuhan, Hubei, China. The university is at Luojia
Hill, with palatial buildings blending Chinese and
Western styles. It was commonly regarded as
one of the most beautiful campuses and a top 10
university for decades in China. It is administered
by the Ministry of Education of China. In 2016,
US News and World Report ranked WHU 251st in
the world and 9th in China. In 2015, QS World
University Rankings ranked the university 273th in
the world and 9th regionally. It came 351st-400th
in the 2014 Times Higher Education World
University Rankings where it ranked 10th in China.

Scholarship Criteria
• The scholarship only supports master’s students for no more than 3 years or doctoral students for no more than 4 years.

• Duration of the scholarship cannot be
extended in general.

• Scholarship students can register for
either Chinese-taught program or
English-taught program if applicable.

Eligibility
• Applicant must be a full time Master and Doctoral Program applicants of non- Chinese nationality and in good health.

• Applicants who apply for a master degree should be under 35 years old and have a bachelor's degree.

• Applicants who apply for a doctoral degree should be under 40 years old and have a master's degree.

• The scholarship program does not support registered students who are studying in China. Applicants who have already completed degree study in China should graduate for more than 1 year.

• Living allowance: (PHD 3500RMB/per month, Master 3000RMB/per month);
