Ok. Let me tell you a bit about the animal kingdom, especially with the big cats. Their world is similar to ours, and I will make use of that analogy. In Nigeria for example, when a new president comes in place, he promptly sacks all the appointees of the previous administration, just like PMB did to GEJ’s men. The same thing happens with the big cats. A male lion is usually the leader of the park. It controls the park and has the finest females for itself. But someday, another young blood comes along and engages the leader in a fierce fight, if the leader loses (could very lose its life), a new king is crowned! The new king will now have to purge the land of the “half-bloods” by hunting down and killing all the cubs of its predecessor, you know, trying to make the females quickly available for mating again.

However, sometimes, there are a few exceptions, and I will take you back to the GEJ and PMB case. In this case, a certain Agric Minister named Akinwunmi Adesina has performed exceptionally well in the previous Government, and PMB knew he would be a fool to show Adesina the way to the door. So, he retains him. And here, is the exact place where our story for the day is heading.

The Lioness’ cubs were all killed by the new king, and as she was wandering on a random day, grieving about her loss, she spotted a young antelope. Probably its mom had had to run for her life when some predators invaded. The lion quickly tracks down the young blood, and New York photographer Gordon Donovan was just there to watch the lion devour the catch.

The lioness had other ideas since she had just lost all her cubs to the “new king of the north,” she decided to raise the cub on her own and even prevented two other lionesses from eating the antelope. She could have very well killed the springbok, but just like Adesina, the young animal was spared.

I believe you're mistaken Akinwumi Adesina for Femi Adesina, cos Akinwumi Adesina served only under GEJ regime, and Femi Adesina never served under GEJ. But why do we always compare Nigeria to animal kingdom?

You are absolutely right shocked will fix it all now, thanks. But actually some animal kingdoms like the ant, termite and even gorilla colonies are better organized than Nigeria. So, comparing Nigeria to animals in some sense, might actually be an insult to the animals. Hehehehe
