The 1996 Olympic Games Gold winner looked very healthy in a dapper suit as he stepped out for the awards. He came on stage, alongside Femi Opabunmi-another former player who has had it rough in recent times-to present an award. Following Oruma’s latest ordeal, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) quickly stepped in to help. After he was released from the hospital, he stayed at the home of NFF president Amaju Pinnick while a three bedroom flat was being arranged for him. Pinnick had also revealed that the midfielder will be handed a coaching role with the Flying Eagles as they fully integrate him into the Nigerian football family.
