Should Customer Service Staffs Use Personal Mobile Phones At Work? by Richie0974: 1:01pm On Feb 23, 2018
A friend told me recently how usage of mobile phones at his workplace is frowned upon hence making him unreachable whenever he's at work. I've been in similar situation. This guy works from 7 am - 10/11pm everyday except for a day off every week.

My Opinion.

I think it's rather archaic for such rules to be pulled, considering the long hours he has to work for, what should he do, sit around and look all day long with no communication whatsoever to friends and family? What if there was an emergency, how would he get to know. I personally believe such working environment won't be friendly enough.

P.S. The company is about to allow for an hour maximum of phone usage each day.
That's laughable, what are we in, Secondary school?

What do you think is it right to not allow staffs have access to their mobile phones for such long hours because he's in customer service even when he doesn't have customers to attend to?
