In its bit to ensure rapid growth and development at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, the Professor Kayode Soremekun led administration is set to commence the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences. This is in addition to the
Faculties of Pharmacy and Law which are also in the pipeline.


According to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kayode Soremekun, his administration is poised to giving quality and affordable education to all citizens of the country and beyond, adding that he will leave no stone unturned to ensure smooth research learning for staff and students as well as a harmonious working relationship between the management and all cadres of staff.

Professor was speaking while receiving the report of the committee for the establishment of Faculty Basic Medical Science in the University Council Chambers today.

He appreciated the Professor Bode Fakunle- led committee for a job well done assuring the efforts of the committee shall not go in vain as the report will be carefully studied for immediate implementation.

He expressed his readiness to liaise with the necessary stakeholders such the National Universities commission and relevant Professional bodies to ensure a smooth take off of the proposed Faculty adding that he would go extra mile to provide all the needed Facilities for the takeoff.
In his remark, the chairmen of the committee Professor Bode Fakunle appreciate the University management for finding them worthy to undertake the task. He assured that the committee has done a thorough job in line with the terms of reference, while applauding members of the committee for their cooperation.
