The first time I witnessed an online auction on copart, i was shocked.
2009 benz c300 that had a battered front bumper, grille bonnet and was missing a headlamp, UAE guys continued bidding till it was sold around $6700.
Any newer model Benz, Toyota and Ford is expensive at salvage auctions.
After that u pay all the auction fees, pay the transport the vehicle to the port, pay for shipping and then pay custom duty and more when it arrives ur country.
Before u know it u have spent 3-4 times the amount u spent buying the car at auction.
I agree that many car dealers import accidented cars, fix them her and sell them as clean tokunbohs but honestly for this camry, what the op is asking for is reasonable.
