100m is the max segment length of fast ethernet(100MBPS) lan. You cannot boost the signal without using a repeater which is unnecessary, however you can reduce latency by making sure that the network cables do not run side-by-side with power cables, if they must, cover them with trunks. Also, try to reduce the segment length to say 80m and make sure you are using cat-5e UTP cablesu. Cheers. |
