I believe the generality of our problems in Nigeria in particular is our conscious loss of the grip of history. Therefore, tracing the path of history to how Sir Frederick Lord Lugard described a Fulaniman in a letter he personally wrote to Walter H. Lang on September 25, 1918, one would know where to place the human specie called "Fulanis" or their offsprings in form of herdsmen, and their activities and, of course, their mentality too. See the letter:

"The Hausa/Fulani has no ideals, no ambitions save such as sensual in character. He is a fatalist, spends thrift and a gambler. He is gravely immoral and is seriously diseased that he is a menace to any community to which he seeks to attach himself".
