What about on WordPress? I really don't know much about web design, hosting and Co
WordPress would require you buying SSL from your host. While some host offers it free, as long as you're on their hosting service.

I can confirm after approximately 3 months, all lost keywords have been recovered and rankings in their normal position with some improvements. grin

I did a switch to https, my traffic deduced from a whooping 25,000 dailyviews to 7,000 views per day. Its close to a month but its beginning to stabilize too. Bit by bit though.
Is this an entertainment blog?

I believe the changes should'nt affect the website.

Probably from where you bought the SSL cert.
Since old URL is removed from index, it does.

@ questechie

You switched using free cloudflare? Or you bought ssl certificate from your domain provider?

I used cloudflare. It's been 4 months traffic keeps reducing
Those on Blogger who tried Cloudflare SSL service got more than they can chew, as the service is not fully supported on Blogger. Both Blogger sitemap and markups were not automatically switched to https. But thank goodness blogger has implemented its own SSL service.

I launched a new blog www.tinamagazine.com i already and i used cludflare https for it before i knew about the blogger https, i don't to change it again i read online that may cause some error in the template and spoil seo. i have decided to keep using the cloudflare own. I mean i checked my site https status with on https://www.whynopadlock.com/ and i see there is no error.

And is your site still gaining more traffic from SEO?

Many blogger users complained about sitemap error with Cloudflare https service, I'd advice you to switch to Blogger https service as it offer a more uniform experience.

Questechie is a marketing agency that specializes in content marketing, so we don't do banner or AdSense kind of ads, they are intrusive and against better user experience. Besides, we've effectively monetized through sponsored contents and not after AdSense monetization.

If you don't mind me asking though, how many sponsored post do you publish per month?

Mine highest is 4 per month, and an average of 2 per month, i mean i get many sponsored posts offers but many of them just say they'll get back to me only a few comes through with payment.

Yours being a tech site i guess you publish more than 4 per month?

LOL. I am not asking how much you charge just how often you publish.
I checked your site, and I noticed you might even be getting sponsored posts from Amazon.

That means your blog should have more traffic than it has right now... Maybe if you've been using wordpress your traffic would have been way higher as at now. I mean comparing your alexa ranking to other new tech blogs like misstechie.com and others. Your seo traffic should have been better. One if the reasons i am thinking of moving to wordpress.

There are still some WordPress sites that are also same age, that questechie.com ranking is better than theirs. It's not about platform, it takes a lot of hard work to rank.

SEO optimization.. Has limits on Blogger, and studying all the blogger blogs I have known since I've been a blogger non has been able to get huge search traffic I'm talking 10k+ daily search traffic whereas wordpress sites get that easily if they optimize well.

I I'm in the process of moving to WordPress, I'm in the design stage I will be finalizing move in a couple days

Contact your host provider, almost all have it free of charge, especially for bloggers that require simple encryption.

Finally, I can recommend HTTPS to anyone that cares for better ranking and traffic from Google, while the initial impact may be discouraging, but longterm even is worth it. Our site traffic has gone over the roof this month and Alexa ranking from 3m to 500k with a month. Could this be the impact of the switch, or was there a Google update?

Those two questions you can find the answer by going to the blog itself, and it's not all questions you'd expect to get an answer. cool

Then you should be just ignored the post/questions instead. No need to be so condescending. Best of luck.
