It all started after the United game against Liverpool. Former Crystal Palace and Ajax boss De Boer questioned Mourinho's ability to be patient with young players making a case in point of Rashford who bagged a brace against Liverpool.

He said: “It’s a pity that the manager is Mourinho, because he’s (Rashford) an English player and you want him to be given time.” De Boer said to BT Sport

De Boer went on to add; “He can make mistakes but Mourinho is not like that and if he has one or two not good games then he puts him out. He’s very young, he needs games. But he’s so talented and you want to see him play every week.”
