I have an xbox here last time i tried using a 360 in nja with a step down transformer i blew the power supply. i need to know if buying a universal power supply iver there would change anything.

it should work with a ordinary universal adapter you can buy in most airports (three pin 240v is Nigeria standard), just be mindful of fluctating NEPA power surges, so best you use a surge protector as with other electrical equipment in Nigeria

A universal power supply will work wonders.
I had an NTSC 360 with a 110V power supply. Once i swapped that with a 240V power supply from a PAL system, i never needed to use a step down transformer again!

NO! A UPS wont help as long as your 360's AC adapter input is 110v(100-127). What you need is an AC converter(step-down). Its best you use both(UPS+step-down). If you can get a 220v adapter, you wont need a step-down in Nigeria. but you'd have to keep your 110v adapter for Canada. . . Or throw it away and use your 220v adapter with a step-down in Canada
And i dont see how your 360's adapter could possibly have been damaged in Nigeria if you used a step-down. . . Unless you connected it directly to your neighbourhood's transformer
