The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Imohimi Edgal officially commissioned the Tejuoso Police Post on Thursday 5th of April 2018. The ceremony which attracted several dignitaries from different works of life including Alhaja Amisu, the Iyaloja of Tejuoso Shopping Centre and Mr. Babatunde Ige, the Chief Finance Officer of the centre, held at the premises of the Police station adjacent to the Shopping centre. Speaking at the occasion, Mr Babatunde thanked the Inspector General of Police for giving approval for the establishment of the Police Post. He promised that the Tejuoso community will give the Post the needed support to function optimally. The CP thanked the management of the shopping centre for providing space for the establishment of the police post saying that the Post would checkmate crime and criminality within and around Tejuoso community. Speaking further at the occasion, the CP called on other communities within Lagos to emulate the Tejuoso community by providing space for establishment of Police Posts. According to the CP, such move will bring policing closer to the people in line with the community policing and safety partnership philosophy of the Force.
