Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi has congratulated Team Nigeria for their achievements so far at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, [url]Completesportsnigeria.com[/url] reports.

Team Nigeria have amassed four gold, five silver and two bronze medals at the games.

All four gold medals came from powerlifting, two silver medals also came powerlifting, men’s shotput produced one silver, one silver was from wrestling, men’s team table tennis won silver while two bronze came from wrestling.

Commenting on the team’s performance, Mikel who led Nigeria U-23 Eagles to a bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics urged them not to relent.

“Congratulations to my Nigerian brothers and sisters on an awesome Commonwealth Games so far – keep it going!” Mikel tweeted on Thursday.
