I watched this race live; amusan got lots of energy sha. The Jamaican athlete (thompson) who was tipped to win came in second place...I was so happy for amusan.

She took her first step in my presence and we didn't know she would come this far. though I noticed she could run very fast at age 3 or 4 but nobody had this dream, even her. Because we lazy around instead of adequate preparations, forming activities and relying on past glory. Brazen embezzlement of sport funds and tribal bigotry. A country that was meant to be pride of black race in all ramifications is now almost a shame to her citizens. The old generation has failed us and the present generation which we belong are not helping either.

I still hope we get things right...Don't be surprised to hear she struggles all the way without much support from the home government as London 2017 was nothing to write home about...

Ajunwa won Olympics gold, not Commonwealth gold. And she won for long jump, not 100 m hurdles.

Don't ever downplay this achievement. It is a great one for us to win gold in athletics, especially, 100 m track events.
