Job Title: Marketing, Brand and Corporate Communications Manager
Business Objective: To manage the company’s brand by developing plans and implementing strategies that will support the brand and its products while achieving its marketing objectives
Core Working Relationships: Managing Director, Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Engineering Managers
Responsibilities
• Design and develop a brand and communications strategy ensuring its alignment to the mission of the Organization.
• Plan and implement brand and communication strategies, programs or projects.
• Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to the unit’s goals and objectives, and report progress.
• Develop short and long term plans, and budgets for the unit’s activities, ensure adherence and evaluate delivery.
• Stay informed on developments in the fields of Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Brand Communications, Marketing, Government Regulations and use this information to inform strategy and actions in the area of Communications and Brand Management.
• Manage the company’s online presence (Website, Online PR and Social Media Platforms) and assets in order to create awareness for the organization and its products, Engage with its customers, Generate new leads and work with the Sales Team to close these leads.
Brand Management
• Ensure articulation of our brand essence and position while ensuring consistent communication of image and position to internal and external customers.
• Develop and execute internal branding strategy in line with the agreed brand essence.
• Drive brand growth and loyalty for all business areas.
• Leverage data on customer insight to refine brand management strategies.
• Identify and implement brand-building interventions.
• Design strategies to enrich customer service experience.
• Ensure that all departments are supported in their communication and brand needs.
Corporate Communications
• Oversee the implementation of intellectual property strategy through trademark management, domain name registrations and risk management ensuring their appropriate use.
• Provide thought leadership materials for internal and external consumption.
• Coordinate and manage content and information sharing among departments and external customers.
Marketing Coordination
• Oversee market research and ensure full use of market and other research information.
• Oversee the production of all print and electronic materials such as brochures, Radio & TV Commercials, Annual reports, Website etc.
• Oversee and guide marketing and promotion activities, ensure appropriate response to media requests.
• Develop and implement media planning, purchases, and innovation strategies.
• People Management
• Recruit, train, appraise, supervise, support, develop and guide direct reports.
• Coordinate and manage the effectiveness of marketing agencies that may be employed in the delivery and implementation of the brand strategy.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Communication or a related field.
• Experience in managing a manufacturing brand or working in the manufacturing sector will be an added advantage.
• An MBA with focus on brand management, marketing or communications or APCON certification is an added advantage.
• Experience as a Product manager, Marketing Manager, and Advertising Agency Account Manager is compulsory.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in branding, corporate communications, advertising, marketing, or media buying
