So why can't he 'untarnish' his own image by acting like a leader. No other ex or military leader in the history of Nigeria has been this inept and spineless at handling civil strife. We know it is about the anti open grazing law and the fact that they want enough deaths to rewrite that law in blood. The same folks who will never let this country be restructured.

Bro...i understand your pain. But the truth is that if any community tries what you just said and buys guns to defend themselves, that is when you will see the Nigerian military in action. The Army, Navy, Air force and even DSS will swoop on that community, make massive arrests and declare a state-of-emergency on that community and tag them criminals. There is more to this Herdsmen killing than meets the eye. A lot of things are happening behind the scene with "unknown" but powerful elites as actors.
