Brendan Rogers is the best candidate.
He is patient, coordinated, builds his team steadily, builds his players. He won the treble with Celtic in his first season, and is almost on course to do it back to back this season. Rogers is not like Mourinho that would come and leave within 3yrs, he's a long term deal.

This is who I always wanted them to sign. He is an upgrade on Wenger. He plays beautiful but physical passionate, all out football. And he can also develop players like Wenger used to. But they threw away the opportunity to sign him. And the guy liked Arsenal.

He's been in national team circles too long. May not adapt to the rigors of weekly matches quickly enough to make an instant impact Arsenal requires. Arsenal needs a man that will hit the ground running with results. If there is a lag in results the whole thing could unravel quickly and depression engulfs the club. They need a flash coach to start with even if the person is temporary and doesn't last more than a season. But someone who can get them winning again almost instantly. That person must be very experienced and have first hand knowledge of the english game and premiership opposing teams.
