Salma al-Majidi is first woman to coach a male football club in Sudan. Although, religious laws in Sudan prevents Sudanese women from having soccer teams, she didn't let that deter her loverfor football. Instead she found her way into coaching and pushed the boundaries.

She was recently acknowledged by FIFA as the first Arab and Sudanese woman to coach a men’s football team. In an interview with AFP, al-Majidi said she began having dreams of pursuing a footballing career at the age of 16, so she asked a coach in charge of a boys’ team if she could work with him.

In December 2015, she was noted in BBC Arabic's 100 inspirational women of the year. Al-Majidi is now 27 and has already coached four Sudanese men’s clubs. Even though she's an avid lover of football and has the CAF “B” badge, which means she can coach any first league team across the continent.
She holds a degree in Accountancy and Management Studies from Al Nasr Technical College.
