A San Francisco church, Grace Cathedral, held a mass dedicated to honouring pop star, Queen B. Beyonce on Wednesday.

The service, whose opening hymn was Survivor by Destiny Child, Beyonce’s former band also included more songs by the musician along with Bible readings, prayers, and communion.

Black feminist theologian, Reverend Yolanda Norton, who preached at the mass revealed the idea behind the mass, “This is not a service deifying Beyoncé,” she explained to Essence.
