*Breeds to Consider if your purpose for rearing rabbits is for meat production*

1. Newzealand (White, Red and Black.)
2. American Chinchilla
3. California White, 4. Herlequin/Magpie
5. crossbred Dutch.

Let me explain each of them.
1. Newzealand breed is a medium class of breed. It grows very fast and very attractive. It commands good price and highly recommended for meat production because of more meat ratio to bone

2. American Chinchilla is also a medium breed and very very fast in growth rate. You cannot regret having American Chinchilla in your farm
3. California White is in the same category with American Chinchilla. It is white in colour and has brownish black at tips of toes, nose, tails and ears. Some fraudulent rabbit farmers are selling it as Hyla and collecting ridiculous high amount from innocent buyers. They grow very fast and also okay for meat production because of more meat to bone ratio
4. Herlequin and Magpie are desirable breeds because of love for its colouration and fast growth rate but not as fast as earlier ones that I explained
5. Dutch is a small breed with a wonderful mothering instinct to care of its babies and has ability to start reproduction from 3months old but 4months is advised. It has ability to give birth to more than 10babies at once. Very prolific in nature-Not difficult to be pregnant. Its body is full of children� but the only disadvantage is small body size. However, to address it, crossbreed it with Newzealand White. You will continue to smile and love rabbitry.
