The sketchy history of Nigerian Hip Hop has it that the genre has gone through different era’s. These era’s had it features and characters, with elements of acceptability, rejection, appeal, commercial success and a kink fall on the trajectory pole of progress and transition. The Nigerian Hip Hop culture has not seen success that could be measured up but, it has the prospect to shine out if it can be fixed up

The late 90’s era witnessed the likes of Trybesmen, Ruff, Rugged and Raw, Maintain, Blackface of the Plantashun Boiz and the Remedies which was made up of Tony Tetuila Eedris Abdulkarim and Eddy Montana, Rasqie, SWATROOT, Apostles, Terry D Rapman, Lord of Ajasa, Mode Nine, Ruggedman, Big Lo, 2short, etc.
