Due to expansion, we currently seek the services of an astute Business Development Officer in the field of Learning and Development Services who will work in the Sales and business development process / pipeline for the Human Capacity Development and Training Division to achieves its sales targets and maintain positive relationship with all our clients. He/she will also be at the fore front of developing an understanding of our client’s requirements, sourcing for and executing exceptional Learning and Human Capacity Development Services that match with our clients’ needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Ideal candidates will have a solid track record in a Business development focused role, with at least 3+years’ experience with DIRECT sales of professional learning and performance services. He/she must be able to demonstrate the ability to work closely and effectively with clients and must be articulate and presentable when dealing with C-Level Executives. Must be highly motivated and a self-starter. Experience in professional services consulting firm with a focus on enterprise learning and development is an added advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 25 years of age
• B.Sc or M.Sc / MBA Degrees in HRM, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting/Finance, Computer Science, or any of the Social Sciences /Numerate Subjects or Equivalent.
• Business Acumen (understanding of Business, performance drivers and long term direction)
• Proven track record in sales ideally overachieving on targets and acquiring new business
• Ability to learn quickly and develop a good understanding of industry requirements
• Strong prospecting skills and extensive customer facing experience.
• Sound commercial aptitude with a result oriented approach to work
• Must be well organized and demonstrate good attention to detail.
• Must be self- motivated and able to work under extreme pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation).
• Must be task oriented with ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Able to use computer hardware and software including MS Word, Excel and Outlook proficiently.
• Proficient in the use of internet for research.
• Preferably female

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Responsible for full range of business development activities, including but not limited to:
• Lead the development and implementation of a business/marketing plan which details strategies, key results to be achieved, and actions required to effectively achieve stated sales objectives
• Handle the Sales & Business Development process / pipeline for business to ensure the Division achieves sales targets in all Human Development and Learning businesses.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with companies to meet the Human Development and Learning of their employees.
• Facilitates the flow of operational information to ensure effective execution of Human Development and Learning contracts.
• Consultative solution-selling, providing internal or customer-facing content creation and collaborative knowledge base solutions to complex client issues that drive mutually positive business outcomes
• Expert at cultivating relationships with decision makers in client organizations (Chief Customer Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief People (HR) Officer, Chief Learning Officer and other C-level executives) to secure new business, new client accounts and maximize the value delivered by D.Mckinsey & Associates
• Act as a trusted advisor to client prospects by demonstrating a deep understanding of their business drivers, organizational imperatives, customer experience challenges, and offer solutions utilizing persuasive win themes and effective sales strategies
• Collaborate with consulting teams to develop solutions and achieve desired client program objectives
• Possess an in-depth understanding of our consulting services and differentiation within the learning and development space
• Expertise around identifying, developing and positioning blended learning solutions for large organizations (which may include any mix of the following: off the shelf course offerings, customer learning content/ solutions, learning technologies, ILT / VILT course delivery, etc.)
• Shepherd all client wins ensuring a smooth transition to client delivery, act as a steward for good business and grow the client relationship by ensuring flawless execution
