I am renting an apartment and the agent is charging 10% agency fee and 10% lawyer fee. The agency fee is for the agent's work. I'm wondering why we need to pay lawyer fee? We are not buying the property and there is no land transfer agreement to draft. Is it normal to charge lawyer fee for renting apartments? Thanks in advance. |

Yes, dont only pay, demand for a written agreement. |
