O-SECUL Nig. Ltd is promoting the development of a 100,000 LPD Ethanol Plant within Aladja industrial Energy Park (A.I.E.P). Udu, Delta state. The Plant requires 900 tons/day of raw cassava tubers to be processed to 224tons/day of cassava chips to produce 100,000 liters of ethanol per day which will require the cultivation of 10,000 hectares of land area to provide feed stock for the project. O-SECUL wishes to partner with farmers/investors to implementing the entire value chain of the project.

Objectives:
A. Provide 10,000 hectares farmland and allocate them to the Small Holder Farmers / Investors.
B. To Organize a Mechanized Cassava Farm Management Team and to provide mechanized services to these farmers.
C. Provide the Small Holder Farmers /Investors with technical support through periodic training so as to achieve optimum in cassava production and weed management.
D. Supply the Small Holders Farmers with farm inputs; resistance / treated varieties of cassava cuttings, herbicides, pesticides, organic fertilizers etc.
E. Assist interested Small Holder Farmers with the input and farm mechanization service loan through CBN – Anchor Borrowers Program as we are the off takers for the products.
F. Assist the small holder farmers / investors with workable agricultural insurance policy as a backup for their investment.
G. Link Small Holder farmers /Investors with agricultural institutes and organization s
H. Monitor all the planting operational processes and provide the best agronomic practices.
I. Cultivate cassava for Udu Ethanol project and its value chain.
J. Assist small holder farmers / Investors to resolve challenges on the project.
Categories of Investors:
The 10,000 hectares will be cultivated in 5 phases of 2000 hectares each. This project is designed to empower/ create investment opportunity to over 5,000 farmers.
The following are the categories:

A. Crowd Funding Investors: Those who wish to invest financially in the project for profit without physical involvement apart from seldom visit to the farm.

COST IMPLICATION PER HECTARE:
Total cost (TC) of production : 288,600
Insurance 2% of the TC 5,772
Administrative Charge 15%of TC 43,290
TOTAL N337,662
TOTAL REVENUE : 20 tons of cassava per ha x N23,000 = N460,000
Net Income : N460,000 – N337,662 = N122,338
36% return on investment on total sum invested.
Duration: 15 months .

B. Independent Farmers: Farmers who are ready to cultivate Cassava on the farmland with their own finance. While, we buy the product off them at maturity.
COST IMPLICATION PER HECTARE:
Total cost (TC) of production : 288,600
Insurance 2% of the TC 5,772
Administrative Charge 2 %of TC 5,772
TOTAL N 300,144
20 tons of cassava per ha x N23,000 = N460,000
Net Income : N460,000 – N300,144 = N159,856

53% return on investment on total sum invested.
Duration 15 months .


C. Support Farmers: Farmer who are ready to cultivate cassava on the farmland but will need financial support through bank loan.
COST IMPLICATION PER HECTARE:
Total cost (TC) of production : 288,600
Insurance 2% of the TC 5,772
NIRSAL 2% of the TC 5,772
Commercial banks 18% of TC 43,290
Administrative Charge 3 %of TC 8,658
TOTAL N352,750
20 tons of cassava per ha x N23,000 = N 460,000
Net Income : N460,000 – N352,092 = N 107,908
31% return on investment on total sum invested.
Duration 15 months .


D. CAPITAL PROJECT INVESTORS: We wish to partner with investors in our capital projects in the value chain such as;
• The Chips Processing Plant
• The Industrial Starch Plant
• The Cassava Flour Plant
• The ethanol plant
All at the proposed industrial park; All these projects are open to investors in this category on equity.
Osecul Nig. Ltd is the off taker for the cassava tubers in all of the categories: putting best agronomic practice in place we hope to achieve minimum of 20tons per hectare and we are buying off the farmers / investor at the rate of N23,000 per ton.
Therefore : 20tons x N23,000 = N460,000 gross profit per hectares .

B. Asaba Seminar was held today 22nd March, 2018 at Chad-ef Hotel , along Illah road, Asaba Delta – state.
