*A BEACON OF LIGHT*

Put off the light, we say;
Hope the door is locked, we think;
But do we really care about those without a home?
Those whose bed are the remains from cozy carbon papers;
Those whose duvet are sacks of empty flours;
Those whose home are the pedestrian bridge we walk all day but therein they lurk all night;
Those whose source of light is the moon that shone from the celestial;
Those whose source of food are the foods brought by those who want to exchange their misfortunes for the hungers of the homeless;
Those whose only comfort in the cold is the tattered clothes given to them;
Those whose only hope is to sleep, with the motive of waking up or better still, not been alive;
Yet all we do with our little luxuries is to complain about not having much;
Why not think of those who live their life on the street exposed to the dangers of being knocked down by reckless drivers? Or perhaps being injured or killed by the night marauders when dawn fizzles out and the dusk sets in?
But yet within them lies the greatest form of happiness we can ever imagine;
Why not take a little moment to appreciate the gift of life?
They might seem homeless or perhaps hopeless today but yet within them lies the greatest zeal of gratitude!!!
