EPISODE ONE

Paul woke up from a deep sleep; it happened that he has been sleeping for over several hours. To his utmost surprise his present environs was so strange to him, his body was aching like he had injury over his entire body , he felt a sharp and an unbearable deep pain in his head, it seems he had hit it so hard against something.
Finally, he regains his total consciousness, lo! And behold! He was in a thick forest. He had many unanswered questions which were wandering in his mind, how did I get here? What is this place? Who am i? It was very clear that he was suffering from amnesia. He sat up and was looking hopeless, he was helpless and he was hoping for a solution to come his way. Immediately, he was gripped by fear of a strange rapid sound behind him and later found out that it came from a bush lizard.
After several hours of thinking, he decided to succumb to the proverb “if the mountain can’t come to Moses, then Moses can go to mountain. Despite all the pains over his body, he hauled himself up and started walking through the wide paths of the forest.

Mrs. Anne was so worried and frustrated about his husbands whereabouts, it two days now since he left the house without returning. She had made several findings and calls especially to her friends and relatives and it all turn out worthless as none of them has no information on his whereabouts. This scenario was so vague to her as she believed her husband to be a responsible and upright man, he doesn’t come later than 7:00 pm. She decided to visit her parish priest the next day, just then she saw her 3 year old son already fast asleep and she checked the time and it was few minutes to 11:00 pm. It was then she realized that she has been thinking over three hours and finally she exclaimed “lord have mercy” and she made the sign of the cross and she slept off.
Paul was wondering how he got to this God-forsaken jungle, and then he heard some unfriendly and strange voices which made him so frightened to his marrow. Then, he turned to the direction of the voice and there came out two half man-half animal beasts, he made an attempt to run but before any action the beasts quickly got a firm hold of his two hands and they threw him into a big cage after he had been tied with shackles. It happened that Anne has been watching the entire scenario and has been trying to intervene but it seems like there is an invincible barrier between them because, she noticed that they can’t see her. As Paul was being whisked away by these beasts, he wept profusely and look so helpless. Anne was wailing and striving to help him but all her effort turn out abortive, the beasts and Paul start fading away into the thin air gradually and it dawned on Anne that she might not be able to see her love again and with all her power she screamed Paul!!!......
Anne woke up and discovered finally that alas! It was a nightmare, she was sweating profusely. She checked her time and it was several minutes past 5:00 am. And she was unable to sleep till daybreak.
Rev.Fr. Hector Okorie was a priest who was working in the diocese, he was known to be a well renowned powerful priest of God, he had been used several times to glorify the name of God through the miracles he had performed; he delivered many people possessed by demonic spirit, he had also help many in the name of God to restore their sight, sense of hearing and also made some lames to walk and so on. Once, he had been attacked by assassinators on his way home and they shot heavily at his car, the glasses were shattered and the car was disfigured, they ran away claiming nobody was in the car as they were shooting, they were surprised that he vanished into the thin air whereas he was in the car and after the incident he came out from the car unharmed.
Fr. Hector stood up to check who was knocking and find out that it was Mrs. Anne Pedro. Mr&Mrs Pedro had been a wonderful family in the parish; they contributed to the growth of the parish greatly. After the exchange of greetings, she went ahead and told him about the missing situation of her husband. He was dumbstrucked as he had a dream in which Mr. Paul was in captivity and was seriously in need of help, he narrated this to her and she was scared as she sense that as a bad sign to her husband’s situation and she also narrated her dream also. He agreed that they should both fast and pray for three days for Gods divine intervention.
As Paul walked through the forest path, he was so weak and was also frustrated. Then, he felt an unfriendly pain in his stomach, he realized that he hasn’t eaten anything for a so long period of time, the hunger was so unbearable, he looked around but he found nothing edible around and decide to walk more faster probably there will be a solution to his problem. The thought of this unbearable hunger and walking aimlessly made him queasy. Finally, he found a tree of ripe mangoes, he was so enticed and he went ahead to pluck some. As he did this, a strange voice emerged from the bush and he felt less concerned due to the unbearable hunger in him and as he made his first bite a beast with three horns on its head came from the direction of the strange voice. This gave him no option than for him to run as fast as his leg could carry him and at the same time he wouldn’t let go of the fruits due to the power of hunger in him.
As he ran through the paths, he discovered a cave ahead of him and he quickly ran into it before this could catch the sight of him. In the cave, he saw how the beast ran pass the cage. He felt relieved and he ate all the fruits at once and felt a little bit sustained. As he came out of to continue his journey he felt a figure from a distance running with full speed towards him, alas! it was the beast again, this time it was so determined to devour him. Immediately, he dashed off and as he ran he saw a big ditch of swamp ahead of him, he was so confused but kept running. As the beast made a jump to pounce on him, an unknown tree’s root hit his leg and he fell heavily down before he could reach the dangerous depth.
