VACANCY! Our Client is an urban Luxury Real Estate Development, Investment and Management company with its head office in Ikoyi, Lagos. They are looking to a recruit competent and experienced Professional for the position of Head of Internal Control and Risk Management.

Responsibilities
The broad roles for this position are:
Objectively review the organization's business processes and protect the vision of the owners of the business.
Evaluate risks - assess risks and determine how effectively they are managed
Assess controls – internal auditors can help evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of controls
Protect against fraud and theft of the organization's assets
Improve operations – Internal audit can look at the operations in a department and compare them with the organization’s objectives. Internal audit can help determine if unit operations are effective and efficient
Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes
Promote ethics – Internal auditors abide by a Code of Ethics that upholds the principles of integrity, objectivity, confidentiality and competency.
Carry out Audits and investigation assignments
Review and upgrade the internal control system
Above all he/she is to act as a watchdog for the owners of the company

Requirements and Skills
• Proven working experience (minimum of 3-5 years) in a reputable professional firm of which his/her current position must not be less than a Senior associate or Manager
• Computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Sound independent judgment
• He must understand the industry and the process
Minimum Qualification Requirements
• Good BSc degree from a reputable university
• He/she must be a qualified accountant (ACA & ICAN)
Minimum Experience of 4 years
