This is no news nah.
Even PhD holders are addressed as doctors. Our problem is that we pursue and are concerned with titles more than services rendered.

Africa is a dead continent, and no one takes us seriously. While laws are made in US to stop anyone who is not a physician from bearing Doctor in a hospital, Africa will go ahead to call lab Scientist and nurses Doctor. Congrats to the newest Doctors in Uganda

Nigeria is not developed enough for residency in pharmacy, because we do our things for pecuniary reasons.

Nigeria not developed enuf for residency in pharmacy doesn't rule out the fact that it(Doctor of Pharmacy and consultant pharmacist) exist in countries with international best practices. West African Post Graduate College of Pharmacist, I think caters for that.

STOP comparing highest salaries of entry level nurses, pharmacist, scientists with that of specialist doctors. Compare it with salaries of their fellow entry level doctors and residents. Hmmm. What is the salary of residents in USA, FYI and 2 in the UK etc...hmmm
Stop being mischievous.

Stop being mischievous. U scream best international practice and u want the salary of the level 15 CNO to be equal to that of the level 15 neurosurgeon. Does that make sense?, is that what obtains in the best practices. Meanwhile the template I posted was the average salary of all health workers in 4 civilised countries of the world. Data don't lie and Johesu will definitely crash land. Jonathan saw the problems and made an independent body, headed by Yahale Ahmed, to visit all the industralized country of the world and make a working template, which he did. Johesu seeing the template quickly rejected it, since it doesn't fit it's evil terms. The doctors said approve the Yahale Ahmed template as millions was spent on it.

Stop hyperventilating. I asked you what is the salary of a resident/new doctor and their FYI counterparts in the Uk? Compare them to the salary if new graduate nurses, pharmacists etc. Top nurses in the UK and USA, what is there salary range too?
Those are the questions please. You scream international best practices for all to hear.....just answer the questions truthfully.

Noticed the years. Both are entry level. New grads

This is from New York medical college. Even as chief residents, entry level RNs average pay is much more than theirs.
Doctors start earning big pays after residency, still there at specialist nurses that earns more than specialist doctors.

This is international best practices not the ones NMA like quoting

Those are not entry level nurses. That average salary of the whole nurse in NY vs Resident doctors. Shameful biased statistic again from a Johesu ardent. Implement Yahale Ahmed Committee report period

Counter your arguments with facts or shut the fvck up.

Even the national average of $65,000k is still above that of a resident.

You know nothing about basic salary and allowances. Google is ur template, while we know what happens inside. Enjoy ur time, ur DP will soon be mutilated and Doctors be replaced by Johesu. The show of shame will never end.

Just stop it already. Nps and physicians are already working hand in hand to provide better healthcare to their populace in saner climes, while here , you lots are whining to daddy quoting international best practices up and down.
Give it up cos it is now or never. Nigerian health system is going to be overhaul and those that are not happy with the changes can go back to their caves.

Stop pretending you are not bothered, they (NMA) clearly do that's why they keep antagonizing other health professionals.

Like I have always maintained the title 'Doctor' is not the exclusive preserve of NMA, it did not originate from physicians.

Pharmacists, Medical Scientists, physiotherapist, optometrist etc with PharmD, DMLS, DPT, O.D are called 'doctors' in saner climes and progressive countries.

One of you was bragging that a CMD warned optometrists to stop referring to themselves 'doctors' in a Nigerian teaching hospital and I laughed.

The only way you can stop the advancement of other health professionals is to take away their brains and shut down the internet. Which is impossible.

That 'international best practices' you've always sang like an anthem when you want cheat other health professionals will now be implemented here.

'Doctor' no be fight sir.
You can have the title all to yourselves, it doesn't foot anyone's bills.

And for the records, NMA isn't the reason why any group is stagnated. Any seemingly stagnated group should do a soul searching first before apportioning blame to others.

You are free to sarcastically call me whatever you want. No be today we don dey hear derogatory names from physicians including names like 'ordinary technicians' 'paramedics' 'labman" etc... It doesn't faze young radicals like us. We have young, vibrant, intelligent and thick-skinned medical scientists nowadays.

We don't expect you to promote the field of other health professionals. Like typical Africans you have always been insecure with the developments of other health experts. During the public hearing on the bill for establishment of National postgraduate college of Medical laboratory Scientists (NAPCMLS) in the National assembly last year NMA left their 'patients' in the wards and came to Abuja with letter of protests on why the bill must not be passed into law. Thankfully Scientists made Nigerians see sense in the bill and it was passed despite your protests. So how can you now claim you are not trying to stagnate others?

We are not interested in what you feel about Scientists, pharmacists, nurses etc. Just do your job and step aside from the road to progress of other experts so the patient can also benefit.

Well, all the best with your life and struggle sir.

It's really difficult for bias, insecurity and a complex to be explained away.
