How did we get to the point where "pastors" now walk on members? Or tell them to swallow things or tell them to be using wood to beat the floor. How did we get to the point where "pastors" now use acrobatics to deliver supposedly possessed people in the "church"? Some strange things are happening under the name of christianity and it must stop! I must confess all these erratic behaviour is usually under the Pentecostal movement(which I worship with) There is need for us to save ourselves from all these shameful things done in Christianity's name and save our faith from corruption.

I recommend that govt should reform and make CAN a self regulating agency with the power to register and deregister churches.

A kind of special INEC kind of arrangement where CAN though created by government would be independent. However it's leadership cannot be chosen by govt neither would it be funded by govt.

CAN should be made to have three branches which includes the Orthodox, Pentecostal and Catholic branches, while CAN itself at the hiighest level should have an executive council made of six delegates from each of the three branches of CAN.

Churches should then be re-registered under any of the three branches with well laid down rules for its membership. The Pentecostals especially should then come together and agree on what constitutes Pentecostalism and produce a binding resolution within six month of CAN's recreation or a resolution would be created for them by CAN's general council. Each of the branches under CAN should have their own board duly elected by whatever means they desire. Churches who violate the conditions under the branch they were registered should be placed on probation and subsequent violation should lead to suspension.

After a church is suspended it should be passed unto the CAN's executive council which should be the only level where a church could be deregistered if discovered that it completely flouts the basic tenets of Christianity. If it is discovered the church was suspended for mere doctrinal differences, then the two other branches could reabsorb the church. For instance, an Orthodox church suspended for practicing Tongue speaking, Slaying in the spirit under the Orthodox council can easily be reabsorbed by the pentecostal branch.

If the Three branches reject a particular church, then CAN's 18 elected executives should take a vote to deregister the church. If there is 2/3rd agreement to deregister the church, then the organization must be deregistered. Since the constitution allows freedom of worship, they should be allowed to congregate if they are not breaking any laws but prevented by law from referring to themselves as a "church."

If CAN's executive council fails to reach a 2/3rd consensus then the church can be allowed to exist as an independent entity(I suspect churches like Celestial would fall under this category).

CAN(State Levels) should also be given the power to suspend pastors even from the church they founded if allegations of adultery, fornication, homosexuality, financial impropriety are founded to be true under investigations.

While CAN and her branches should never be given power to control or interfere in financial or succession issues of any church. There must still be a mandatory full disclosure policy for churches which would make all churches disclose their financial revenue and financial expenditure at the end of each fiscal year.

Before we bring Christianity to the fore of religion it is important to check any form of religious exercise that restricts or seek to arm others.
