Some customs officers shot and killed an old man in a remote village (OLOHUNDA) in Oyo town of OYO state today....

It is very unfortunate how many unstable officers has access to guns in this country, the government has to make it it's duty to always do psychology test to anyone who is trained to carry guns cos many of them are mentally unstable.

The first duty of any officer is to safe and preserve lives and not to take it.


According to many witnesses of this unfortunate events, they said many customs officers were passing through Olohunda village, and when they reached the village they shot sporadically into the air and and on the ground. There was a disagreements between the customs officers and the villagers about speed bumps that they errected in the village.


They removed the tree which the villagers used as a speed bump to limits overspending of vehicles which usually kills their livestocks.

Baba Raheem who was just coming from the farm met them when they were arguing. He was the one who was even begging the officers that they should not be angry with the villagers that the numbs was errected to curb the killings of the livestock and to safeguard the children who normally play around in the village unknowingly to Baba Raheem of Arogede compound in Isale Oyo that their is unstable entity among the officers.

It was even after everything had died down that one senior officer came down from their fan and shot Baba in the chest and he jumped into their waiting fan and they all left.

When it happened, the villagers wentheo the palace and reported the case to Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi iii and the case has been transferred to Ibadan.


His corp is at Opabode Hospital in Oroki area of Oyo town and is yet to be released by the police to the family for proper burial as the case is now.

Baba was finally buried today amidst tears from friends and family.
He was buried @Muslim comnunuty burial ground@Eleekara market area Oyo, Oyo state.


He was survived with wife, children and grandchildren.

May the Almighty Allah put him in Aljanna Firdaos.
