Wealthbankers Foundation To Award $100,000 Prize To Winners Of WB Prodigy Hunt by Nobody: 5:20pm On May 23, 2018
“We know there are many young people in Africa who are not allowing poverty to hold them back from being great. We see them all around and these people inspire us. These people are doing so much for their communities and this is our way of supporting them,” says Frank Chisom, leader of the WB Prodigy Hunt team.

WealthBankers Foundation launches maiden edition of the WealthBankers Prodigy Hunt. The Foundation seeks to reward young change makers and innovators in Africa, by inviting them to take part in the hunt for the next WealthBankers African Prodigy. Twelve Africa nations will be participating in the now launched WealthBankers Prodigy Hunt. 12 African Countries include: Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Uganda

Africa, although seen through the eyes of the world as a haven of poverty, is a truly wealthy continent. Aside the abundant natural resources that litter the continent, Africa can also boast of amazing people that form part of its human resource.

There are many young Africans that are impacting their society in diverse and amazing ways despite the lack of proper support. These are the people that the WealthBankers Foundation seeks to support with the WealthBankers Prodigy Hunt.

The WealthBankers Prodigy Hunt is a platform that brings together young people who are 30 years and below to compete for a series of prize totaling to $100,000. The competition is open to all people who are using their skills and talents to impact their society positively. The winners of the competition are awarded grand cash prizes of $10,000, $7,000, $5,000 plus other prizes.

“We know there are many young people in Africa who are not allowing poverty to hold them back from being great. We see them all around and these people inspire us. These people are doing so much for their communities and this is our way of supporting them,” says Frank Chisom, leader of the WB Prodigy Hunt team.

The Prodigy Hunt is set to begin in Ghana and then continue to eleven (11) other African countries. To take part in the Ghana Edition of the Prodigy Hunt, applicants must first meet the minimum requirements:

They Must be Ghanaian and also living in Ghana
They must be aged 30 years or less.
They should be impacting their community or society with their various skills and abilities.
They should not have had any previous media exposure.

Once these minimum requirements are met prodigy candidates can start making their submissions via the WealthBankers Foundation website. Applicants are required to submit a 3-5 minutes video which demonstrates what the applicant is capable of and is currently doing. The applicant is also expected to write and submit a 300 words letter article about themselves and what they do - not compulsory but recommended.

Countries that fail to provide one thousand (1,000) prodigy submissions, out of their millions of citizens, will be disqualified from the competition.

Participants in the competition do not have to worry about being present in a physical location since the entire show is going to be organized online. Participants and viewers will be able to follow the competition on the WealthBankers Foundation YouTube channel.

The winner of the Ghana edition will be awarded $1,000 with the first and second runners up winning $500 and $300 respectively. Aside this cash prize, participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with industry experts, angel investors and venture capitalists among others. Each participant is also given good media exposure that can help their careers and projects.

The public is actively involved in the hunt as the progressing winners of the first two of the three rounds of the competition will be decided purely by public vote. The last round which determines the winners of the Prodigy Hunt will be judged by the WealthBankers Prodigy Hunt Team.

This Laudable deed by WealthBankers Foundation deserves to be supported as it will requires massive funding, to reach its full potential. The foundation is open to both individuals and organizational partners, as they have a donate button and a support page, who wishes to support them in cash and in kind.

Submissions for the Ghana Edition of the Prodigy Hunt opens on Monday, 14th May, 2018 and closes on Thursday, 14th June, 2018. Many information can be found on WealthBankers Foundaton website, People & Business Media site or SCREENS for videos, two of their partners.

This sounds like a great event. I have been hearing of WealthBankers Job Arena.
Interesting to know that they also have a charity foundation.
Almost asked how to apply, but I have seen the link above.
