ERRONEOUS PRACTICES IN PRAYER. PART 2

Last week we had an in-depth study of the manner and mode of rightful prayer while pointing out the errors widely practiced by Christians today. Previous week's study was on cursing of enemies and vain repetition. This week, as we continue I urge the avid truth seeker, whilst going through this article, to rid him or herself from preconceived believe and meekly accept the word of GOD that is able to make one wise unto salvation. All citations written below will be taken from the Scripture.
3) Soaking with the blood of Jesus: it is not far-fetched today to hear a Christian while praying say the words “I soak my family with the blood of Jesus” or “I soak my car and the road with the blood of Jesus”. Now the question that begs is, Is the blood of Christ really meant for soaking or protection against hazards and assaults that may be? Can we find direct command or examples in the Scriptures as to the leveraging of soaking in the blood? Without further ado let’s turn to the Scriptures: the ultimate and final authority in all things pertaining the spiritual questions.
Let us see what the blood of Jesus represents and its uses in the Scripture.
The blood was used in purchasing the church, Acts 20:28
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Jesus Christ in the book of Matthew 16:18 promised to build his church. This church He purchased with His blood―the blood was the asking price of the church and Jesus paid this price in full. This is one of the few significance of the blood. See 1 peter 1: 18-19
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
The blood was for remission and forgiveness of sins: Acts 20:27-28: 27 and he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. See 1 John 1:7-9: 1.7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 18 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 19 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. See also Hebrews 9: 12-14:
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the New Testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament…
And lastly, See Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
With the facts excerpted from the Scriptures one can unequivocally adduce that the blood of Jesus was never used as an armour of defense or for protection; providence is in the Name of Christ, not in the Blood. See John 14: 14-15 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. Also see Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Nowhere in the entire Scripture can one find the scriptural authority for drenching family, children, material possessions, etc in the blood of Jesus. If so, should one continue to erroneously utter such in prayer?
TO BE CONTINUED… Have a blessed Sunday.

True that. People just call blood of Jesus and keep soaking everywhere with the blood of Jesus. I wonder which pastor started that fad.

Anyway the only thing Christians are asked to do with the blood of Jesus is to drink it so as to have eternal life in Him and not to be soaking upandan.

That's always the problem with proliferation of "churches".

Pastors just pull out ideas from their heads and call it inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

There's no foundation or authority backing up what they are feeding their flock with.

Everybody is claiming divine inspiration whenever they attempt to interpret the Bible yet all we have in the so-called Christendom is cacophony of voices and ideas.

Reminds one of Babel.
