Not being open to the public isn't the same thing as not having the match broadcast on tv. wink

Above is the link to Milton Keynes website. They said the match will be played behind closed doors.

This is an outrage. I have never seen something like this. What is Lagerbank thinking?

I'm sorry to say but Nigeria is a joke

The super eagles should no longer be taken seriously. People need to just relax and enjoy their teams participation in the tournament.

Nigeria friendly closed to public
Nigerian fans in England are to miss out on a chance to see the Super Eagles before they set off to the World Cup in South Africa.

Their warm-up match against Colombia is to go ahead in Milton Keynes on Sunday, but will be played behind closed doors.

MK Dons stepped in as hosts after both West Ham United and Luton Town said they could not stage the game.

The club say that because of an existing booking there will be no public access to the match.

Nigeria's build-up to the World Cup has been disrupted by several problems - including the cancellation of other friendly matches and the abandonment of a planned training camp in London.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles began life under Lars Lagerback with a 0-0 draw against Saudi Arabia in an international friendly in Austria on Tuesday.

Swede Lagerback named a team of mostly fringe players, with only centre-back Joseph Yobo and midfielder Kalu Uche the likely first team starters in the line-up.

Re: Nigeria Vs Colombia Friendly (1 - 1) by snowdrops(m): 10:35pm On May 27, 2010
that is a question for the football association
Re: Nigeria Vs Colombia Friendly (1 - 1) by honeric01(m): 12:53am On May 28, 2010
They better show the match on TV, or is it that the friendly fell through and they are trying to deceive Nigerians into thinking they played Colombia by playing under closed doors?

Re: Nigeria Vs Colombia Friendly (1 - 1) by komekn(m): 3:16pm On May 28, 2010
Essentially our problems start with the NFF.

Once again the self interest of the NFF leadership takes precedence over the national interest and that intersest is simply corruption. How hard can it be to organise a friendly match.

The administration of the NFF a joke, kick back and back kicks by the NFF are just not helping, consider the list of 44, certain key players left out by the NFF. Lagerback is good manager finding himself in a big mess, i wish him all the best it will not be easy fighting the NFF as well as trying to organise the team. sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad

AIT has concluded arrangements to show the match live on Sunday, 6pm Nigerian time.
They announced it last nights during the 8pm News Hour.
Re: Nigeria Vs Colombia Friendly (1 - 1) by 12large: 3:27pm On May 28, 2010
bro ait don lie how can they show the match when mk dons said the match was not allowed for the public
Re: Nigeria Vs Colombia Friendly (1 - 1) by oisehumen(m): 3:36pm On May 28, 2010
Who do we believe now?

I think i will take the words of AIT seriously. Remember they have the right to broadcast all matches of all Nigerian teams(under 17, 21, 23 and Super Chickens, sorry i meant Super Eagles). They also showed our last boring match against the boys from Mecca.

the match should be called off, i dont really see the point esp when there would be no fans so its not even as the NFF will be making any money.
Re: Nigeria Vs Colombia Friendly (1 - 1) by 12large: 6:50pm On May 28, 2010
bros they cannot cancel the game because lagerbacks needs it very well he needs to see all the players first before his final 23
