These scriptures in the bible provide the example of King David asking for money and the Israelites willingly giving. The promise David made is that the money would be used to build a great temple to honor God. How was that money used? Well, David didn’t live to build the temple. God punished him for the blood he shed and so Solomon built the temple. He started to build it 4 years after the death of his father. He forced 183,850 men to build it. As to how the money was used, it’s all detailed in 1 Kings chapters 5 & 6 and 2 Chronicles chapters 2 & 3. The transparency with regard to donations used in the bible are in stark contrast to how donations are used within “God’s organization” today.

You’ll find that there are plenty of articles explaining how they finance their work, how you can donate to the work and lots of reasons for why you should donate.
