I have this re-occurring infection called staph. I have treated it before with strong antibiotics and injections. Recently, I noticed my cycle doesn't flow well so I carelessly decided to go to a lab to run a test.
To my surprise, I was diagnosed of a "confluence growth of staph". Hey God!
To start with, I don't know how the infection came about, uptill now I don't know if it's an STI or a toilet infection. Considering how neat and proud I am. I don't do raw or common kissing, as in the " French type". So, you can imagine my shock when I was first diagnosed. Since then, my carefulness and cleanliness doubled.
Pls house, has anyone treated a staph infection successfully? Will it cause delay in conception for me as I am planning on settling down soon.
How else should I treat it?

People can get staph infections from contaminated objects, but staph bacteria often spread through skin-to-skin contact — the bacteria can be spread from one area of the body to another if someone touches the infected area.

This will tell them the implicating organism and the antibiotics the organism is sensitive to( ie that can kill or eradicate the organism ). If u take the sensitive antibiotic ( normal dose, frequency and period ) the infection will clear. Mind u there is no medical term like " strong antibiotics"
Please , it is no crime being deceived, but deceiving oneself is grievous.
Go see a qualified doctor and not hospitals owned by non medical doctors parading themselves as one, preferably go to a teaching hospital . Staph is not a diagnosis and so u can't say u have staph . Every living human being has staph. If the organism is where it is not supposed to be, like in bone causing osteomylitis , hair follicle causing boils , etc then , antibiotic will do the wonder depending on the severity of the Infection.

. @rotadeco27 ,Welldone,you have Well Talked about Staph.Aureus .Meanwhile I am not a Medical Doctor but how about my personal self who has done all you have Mentioned above ,I had a Boil and sample was taken from the boil spot ,A culture and sensitivity "(MCS) on the sample was done.I was at Ikeja General Hospital Lasuth ,I believe that is not owned by a Non Medical Doctor its Government owned .I understand the Sensitivity test done Stipulated the Antibiotic that the bacteria is Sensitive to and the ones that its Resistant to ,I.e R,+,++,+++ I used the Prescribed drugs and all counselling followed my brother ,Its the same Story ...After all said and done I was left to my fate, in my own Personal Opinion ,I think we should just accept the truth that Staphylococcus aureus is Resistance to Drugs /Antibiotics .Western Countries realises this ,Reason MRSA still remains a big threats . I'm sorry you are infected with staph. @ The bolded yes, @italiced it depend on you. either you go herbal or foreign.I sent a pm to you.

Staph doesn't cause all those things u mentioned. Any lab putting a swab stick in ur vagina and claiming staph is a scam and judgement day awaits them.

If u are having reduced periods and decreased menstrual flow, see a gynaecologist and get sorted out. Staph doesn't cause any of that. Funny how Nigerians have a problem and then visit the wrong place for help. There is no where in the world that permits one to walk into the lab and do a culture except Nigeria, even Rwanda is now better than us with 98% health coverage.


Go and see a professional. Lab technicians are not doctors.

Sometimes we get the whole staph story wrong. Staph can be a normal flora of the skin, but sometimes we could have infectious strains. Staph causes majority Skin, bones and Soft tissue infections, and in ur case have a boil (a skin infection), it is reasonable to say staph myt be implicated.

However, Staph does not cause poor eye sight, weak erection, poor mentrual flow and the likes. When people have these, they should seek specialist care and not visit the Lab. I have seen dozen of patients falling for these scam and I can only wish that the goverment is more responsible in combatting quackery.
