HTML is not a programming language, it's a Mark-Up languages, It mostly lead to development of website, but quickly make a starter prepared for Programming, as it is made of of codes,

I thing that is fine for you to learn, then while building websites, a need for Javascript and PHP will arise. Those are programming langauges mostly used for websites.

Dreamweaver is a good starter kit for programming or precisely web designing and which I can recommend for early beginners like you and me. Start with the HTML: design it, see the code, memorise it and then try it yourself. I will be right back. . .

Ok, go to www.w3schools.com for better understanding of what I'm saying. And as an early beginner, start with HTML. Remember see the code, memorize it, and then try it yourself (using notepad). Mind you, I'm also a newbie and hope I'm explanatory enough! Cheers.
