Peace in the woods...

Ezekiel 34: 25-26;

34:25 And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

34:26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.

In the previous post we saw why God might have

been pushed away from the churches and local

congregations due to our heady devotion to our own

stuffs and religious profiteering.

There is, therefore, an awakening in the “wilderness”

while the “evil beasts” that have invaded the church

prey on people’s innocence and fatten themselves on

tithes and offerings.

God is offering a covenant of peace, safety and

comfort (sleep) “…in the woods” far away from the

deadly claws of the beasts!

Luke 21: 20;

21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

The rain has been withdrawn! There is desolation in

the temple as the Prophets foretold! But in the woods,

God promises “showers of blessing”!

Sword in the hand of a priest…

Luke 22:52;

22:52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?

Forget the eloquence, the sharp suits, the sugar-coated

speeches and sermons! They won’t show us Christ!

Jesus castigated the Pharisees in Luke 11:39 that they

“make clean the outside of the cup and the platter”

but their inward part is “full of ravening (rapacity,

extortion) and wickedness”

But the Spirit clearly warns: If anyone remains there

“…they shall fall by the edge of the sword…” (Luke

21:24). We are in a critical time! God help us!

The prophetic Books glow now, every word comes

alive because the time is near!

Grace in the wilderness…

Jeremiah 31:2;

31:2 Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

It feels more urgent now than never to escape the

sword so that we can obtain grace!

He “went” ahead to find rest for the remnant of

people who hear the voice of the shepherd and follow.

He will surely lead His flock away from the reach of

the enemy and his beasts!
