The FBI has complained that Nigerian Fraudster should no longer be laughed at. This development came after a company CEO killed himself after loosing $50M to Nigerian Wire Wire Fraudsters. The FBi had to track them into Nigeria.
In recent months, over 90 people have been arrested in the U.S. and Nigeria. The FBI arrest was in connection with an accusation of participating in a sophisticated email scam.
According to the reports from WSJ.com, the suspects has targeted American businesses and cost them hundreds of millions of dollars this year alone. In a scam scheme dubbed Operation Wire Wire, the FBI targeted an alleged Nigerian organized crime ring and others who sent fake messages to companies’ and finance departments.
